Harbour IT’s Rhonda and Lawrence
Don the Gloves for Charity
Are they ready?
The black tie boxing corporate fight night is back again in 2015.
On Saturday May 30 Sydney’s Ivy room will host a black tie evening with a difference, featuring corporate men and women competing in three rounds of boxing to raise funds for Oasis Youth Support Network.
Oasis is fighting the good fight against youth disadvantage. Every day they provide access to over 20 programs and services that offer critical points of intervention and support for homeless and disadvantaged young people between 16 and 25 years of age. Donate here >>
To support this vital charity Harbour IT have sponsored several tables and our very own Lawrence Mills and Rhonda Chu have volunteered to don the red gloves.
Shaping up the contenders
Putting life and limb on the line the contenders have been through some gruelling training. Over the last ten weeks they’ve been involved in one on one boxing sessions, group skills and fitness sessions as well as footwork and sparring training.
Are the Harbour IT contenders ready?
While the guests will enjoy a three course meal dressed in their finest black attire, Lawrence and Rhonda, along with other new corporate boxers, will be preparing for the fight of their life.
Each will compete in a ‘Real Life’ Boxing Competitive Fight comprising of three 2 minute rounds. I caught up with them to see how the preparation was going and this is what they had to say:
