Teams and Channels

A Team is a group of people that need to be collaborating on a project. You set up the Team and add people to it from around your organisation.

A Channel is the projects or internal group within a Team. You can have multiple projects within a Team and by creating Channels you can track everything under one heading. When a team is set up it will automatically have a general channel that can be used for general conversations and announcements. This is where tasks are completed by team members and allows files to be shared and 3rd party applications to be added.

Here are two videos that provide you tips and tricks on how to set up a Team, what you can do with Channels.

Microsoft Teams chats and calls enable you to have conversations with a group of people or an individual in either private calls or as part of a group discussion.
